2012. Bring it on.

Well firstly there wont be a Pete (Devo!)… Instead we’re getting a new dude from Moore College! (Classy!)

So really who knows what’s in store!
Though he is joining us this coming Sunday! (The…..umm.. 15th Jan)

Things will still stay more or less the same at FWL… The Low Down will be the same for each friday… with the addition of the year 6’s (Now year 7’s) from NEON moving up the ranks to FWL (and perhaps new people from other places all together… who knows what God has in store for us!)

Hope to see you at FWL! (And if you cant wait till the start of the term, remember there will also be a youth and young adult service at 6.30pm on sunday nights, where most of the FWL kids, and some ex-FWL people hang out and chill and join together in fellowship!

PETE’S LEAVING?!?

Yes yes its true… our beloved youth leader for many years is no longer going to be our beloved youth leader by the end of the year…
Thankfully though he will still be at All Saints!

So keep this all hush hush, but we’re all pitching in to get him a prezzie! Either put some money in an envelope and mark it or something… or talk to Phil Read, our pastor, or digitally with technology-ness and stuff…
Pitch in!

We Have a Team Doing the Oxfam Trailwalker100!

So incase you dont know, the Oxfam Trailwalker challenge is a grueling challenge… 100km of bush to hike through… and our local team consisting of Sean, Phil, Pete and Brad (He’s a foreigner to all saints but a fellow christian none the less) is aiming to do it in 20 hours! No sleep for these boys…

Here’s what they have to say:

Teams of four enter this event and have 48 hours to walk or run the 100km trail, although our team is hoping to finish in about 20 hours. It’s very likely that we’ll walk through the night (with little or no sleep) until the end.

The event raises vital funds for Oxfam Australia. Oxfam is an independent, secular, non-government organisation working in more than 28 countries including Indigenous Australia. As part of the event, we’ll be walking 100km in under 48hrs. In actual fact, we’re aiming to achieve this feat in something closer to 20hrs!

Please visit our teams ‘Teamspace’ on the Oxfam website to donate. This link is below and the rest is pretty self explanatory.

By supporting Oxfam TRAILWALKER you are putting your foot down against poverty and injustice. The people you are helping don’t want to live on handouts. They want to lead dignified, independent lives. Your support gives them the chance to help themselves.

Your donation can help provide grain for families to grow eat and sell, or pay for a childs school fees who has been orphaned from their mother dying from HIV/AIDS.

So come on guys, dig deep, get behind our team and behind Oxfam.

Follow our progress on the Teamspace or on this group page and spread the word.

Its all about the difference YOU make.

Thanks everyone.
